Another quality release from the Warner Archive. This set includes all 24 episodes of the original Vitaphone Ripley’s Believe It or Not! shorts from the early 1930s. And as fans of the much more recent TV series of the same name or the tourist houses scattered around the country will know, they capture little oddities of life which Robert L. Ripley collected.
This isn’t the type thing you will want to watch from start to finish in one sitting. Rather a few shorts at a time is the recommended way to go. Like most of the Warner Archives releases, little or no video or audio restoration has been done here. Surprisingly though, the video quality is superb and much better than expected. The audio does have some dropouts along the way, but well worth the price of admission!
Be warned though that Ripley is a stiff old dog here, and an actor he isn’t. Normally that would detract, but here it adds to the charm!
I am looking for pictures of James Patrick (Pat) Henry and his horse.
He was in Ripley’s for his horse roping a calf and drinking a coke from a bottle.
How/where do I find that information in Ripley’s archives.

I have information for you Truman. How can I contact you
We are distant relatives to him and actually have a colorbook from 1959. My great aunt had kept it all these years.
